Spain has confirmed a new positive case of African swine fever (ASF) in a wild boar that was killed within the high-risk area delimited within a six-kilometer radius around the first case, bringing the number of positive wild boars to 27 and a total of 10 outbreaks since the outbreak began. This is a symptomatic animal that was killed in the delimited high-risk area but this time within the municipal term of Sant Cugat del Vallès and not in Cerdanyola del Vallès as the previous ones. The detection of this outbreak has made it necessary to modify the municipalities included in the infection area within a 20-kilometer radius around the outbreaks, incorporating the municipalities of Begues and Gavà, from the Baix Llobregat region, and the municipalities of Olesa de Bonesvalls and Subirats from the Alt Penedès region, according to the update note from the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food (MAPA).
