The average value of accumulated precipitation for the current hydrological year (from October 1, 2024, to July 1) amounts to 624 liters per square meter, which represents a 13 percent increase compared to the normal value for this period, situated at 554 liters per square meter. This pluviometric surplus has been recorded in a large part of the peninsula, with "especially notable accumulations" in Murcia, the Valencian Community, the western half of Andalusia, the Central System area, and the western half of Castilla-La Mancha, according to data from the State Meteorological Agency (Aemet).
