The Government wants new third-party destinations to accept the entry of pork products from areas free of African swine fever. The United Kingdom, China, and South Korea have already accepted this regionalization of the problem. The Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries, and Food, Luis Planas, sees it as important to keep foreign markets open to the entry of pork products to minimize the impact on the price of these foods following the outbreaks of African swine fever detected in wild boars.
