Spanish households adjust their budget for this Christmas

Spanish households face the holidays with an average spending forecast of 520 euros per person, according to the latest study by the financial app Plazo. This budget covers food, gifts, lottery and dinners, highlighting an effort to balance financial control with enjoyment. Food, the star of the celebrations, will represent an average expenditure of 187 euros per person. Although prices show signs of moderation, 53% of those surveyed say they will avoid expensive products such as seafood, fresh fish or Iberian sausages to stick to their budget. On the other hand, 42% will opt for higher quality products but in a more moderate way, while only 5% will not put limits on spending. With an average of 270 euros, gifts consolidate their position as the main expenditure item. Clothes and footwear lead the list with 77%, followed by games and toys (48%) and technology (44%).
