The price of sprats and sprat in Russia is expected to increase due to factors such as higher collection rates, difficult fishing conditions in the Baltic Sea leading to a decrease in catch volumes, rising wage costs and fuel, and the requirement for labeling canned food which will incur significant costs for equipment. The Fisheries Union has suggested reducing fees to help offset these costs and maintain the availability of fish products, a proposal that has not been agreed upon by the Government due to the lack of a financial and economic proposal.
