The live cattle market is experiencing pressure due to an oversupply of cattle and a reduced flow of beef, leading to a decrease in quotations. Despite this, benchmarks remained steady between 1/25 and 1/27. The decline was most pronounced in the Southeast - MT region, where the sale of fat heifers dropped by R$3.00/@ due to a high supply, difficulty in meat sales, and alternate slaughter days. Paragominas - PA also reported a drop of R$3.00/@ for fat cattle due to reduced buying momentum from industries and a high supply of finished cattle.
