According to Secex data, Brazilian cassava starch was exported in April at an average value (FOB Brazilian customs) of US$ 1,221.30 per ton, up 17% compared to March and 54.4% compared to April last year. The volume exported by Brazil in the period, in turn, totaled 1,540 tons, down 61.4% in the month and 48.4% in one year. It is worth mentioning that this is the smallest amount sent abroad since January 2021. Paraná stood out as the main exporter of the derivative in April, representing 43.8% of the total, followed by Mato Grosso do Sul (27.6% of the total), São Paulo (13.8%), Santa Catarina (8. 5%) and Alagoas (5.4%).
