Sugar beet purchases continue in Malazgirt

MUŞ (İHA) – In Muş's Malazgirt district, the 2025 sugar beet purchase season is in full swing.
While beet producers in the district continue to deliver their harvested products, officials conducted inspections at the purchase sites. Malazgirt Beet Chief Ömer Alpago, Agricultural Engineer Şükrü Ünal, and regional technicians visited the beet purchase site and gathered information about the ongoing work. Officials stated that they aim to purchase approximately 120 thousand tons of beets in the district this year, and since the start of the campaign, they have acquired approximately 60 thousand tons of beets.
Additionally, it was announced that 30 thousand tons of the purchased beets have been sent to the Ağrı Sugar Factory. Officials thanked the producers and emphasized that the purchase process is proceeding smoothly, and work will continue uninterrupted to reach the targeted amount.
