Sugar production in India in the 2025/26 marketing year, which will begin in October, is expected to grow by 18% to 34.9 million tons due to improved sugarcane yields and expanded planting areas, the Indian Sugar and Bioenergy Manufacturers Association (ISMA) reported on Thursday. Active monsoon rains are contributing to high sugarcane yields, which will boost production.
