The planting of the 2025/26 summer corn crop is advancing in virtually all producing regions of Paraná, with 90% of the planned area sown by this Monday (13), according to the Department of Rural Economy (Deral), from the State Secretariat of Agriculture. The bulletin indicates that 22% of the crops are in the germination phase and 78% in vegetative development. Most of the conditions are good (99%), with only 1% in average condition. According to Deral, the emerged crops show good initial development. However, "there are reports of localized infestations of pests, such as leafhoppers and thrips, which require attention," said the agency in a report.
