Turkey: Sun-dried tomatoes on their way to Europe

In Türkoğlu, one of the districts most affected by the earthquakes centered in Kahramanmaraş, dried tomato production has accelerated. 800 tons of dried tomatoes harvested after production are exported to European countries. In the district, which is among the settlements most affected by the earthquake, farmers are trying to overcome the trauma they experienced by producing. Sun-dried tomatoes in the district are sent to many countries, especially Germany and France. The producers' sweat and wisdom came together, tomatoes planted on a thousand acres of land in the region are collected by agricultural workers and brought to the drying area. Here, the tomatoes, which go through certain stages, are taken to be dried. Tomatoes dried in a natural environment, without using any pesticides, are taken to İzmir, processed here and exported to European countries.
