Suncheon City, on-site consulting for fruit trees in response to climate change... high response from farmers

Suncheon City (Mayor Noh Kwan-gyu) recently concluded the successful on-site consulting education "Peach Course" to respond to rapidly changing climate conditions and enhance the competitiveness of fruit-growing farmers. This education is part of the "Representative Fruit Cultivation On-Site Consulting Education in Our City," providing site-centered technology education in response to climate change for four items including peaches, pears, persimmons, and apples. In particular, the peach course held last month invited agricultural master Jin Jong-ho from Cheongdo County, Gyeongbuk, and was conducted for around 70 peach growers in Woldeung-myeon. The education included basic theories such as orchard soil management and nutrient and water management, along with practical training in pruning techniques, which greatly helped in managing late-season peach orchards in Woldeung-myeon.
