July palm oil futures on Bursa Malaysia fell 1% for the week to $834/t, remaining flat for nearly two months due to rising production and lower exports. Malaysia's palm oil production increased by 13.5% in May, while Indonesia's exports dropped due to reduced production from lack of rainfall. July soybean futures in Chicago were stable at $963/t but down 4.1% for the month. Sunflower oil prices rose by 2.5% to $943/t due to reduced supply from Ukraine and higher demand from India and the EU. The USDA's June report slightly lowered the global vegetable oil production and consumption forecasts for FY 2024/25, leading to a forecasted decrease in global oil reserves.
