REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA - The Indonesian Association of Muslim Intellectuals (ICMI) has expressed support for the steps taken by Minister of Agriculture Andi Amran Sulaiman in dismantling the practice of serakanomics and eradicating the food mafia that has long dominated the national food sector. General Deputy Chairman of ICMI, Priyo Budi Santoso, said that ICMI is on the same path as Minister Amran in the mission to restore the economic rights of the common people and end the dominance of one or two groups that have been controlling the strategic food sector. "We at ICMI are in line with Pak Amran's move. Serakanomics must be stopped. The food mafia must no longer control the strategic sectors that are the rights of the common people," said Priyo during a media interview in Jakarta on Friday (21/11/25).
