According to a report by the Pig Breeders Association of Paraguay (ACCP), Taiwan is a standout market for Paraguayan pork, not only in terms of the volume of its purchases but also for the premium prices it pays. In the initial two months of the year, Taiwan emerged as the top buyer, paying an average of USD 2,981 per ton for 1,257 tons of pork meat and offal, totaling USD 3.7 million. This places Taiwan well ahead of other countries like Georgia and Uruguay, both in purchase volume and the price per ton, highlighting its significant role in the Paraguayan pork industry.
