Taiwan to accept pork imports with ractopamine

The Taiwanese Ministry of Agriculture has decided to lift the ban on importing pork from animals fed ractopamine. However, the use of ractopamine in feed for farm animals will remain prohibited. This measure will benefit US pork exports to the Taiwanese market, since this product is allowed in the US. This regulation will enter into force on January 1, 2021.
