Singapore will begin exporting fresh and liquid eggs to Taiwan in late April, marking the first time the island nation will import eggs from Singapore. This comes as Taiwan faces an egg shortage due to unpredictable weather, increased feed costs, a high number of molting hens, and avian flu outbreaks. Singapore's largest egg farm, Chew's Agriculture, plans to export 1.2 million eggs, while another firm will export 8.3 tonnes of liquid eggs, equivalent to around 180,000 fresh eggs.
