The Chinese Communist Party (CCP) has suspended the import of pineapples from Taiwan since March of the previous year. In response, Taiwan has successfully shifted its pineapple export market away from China, with a 12.2% increase in the same period, showing that it no longer relies on the Chinese market. The Taiwan Council of Agriculture has implemented countermeasures to ensure farmers' income is not affected, with a significant increase in pineapple exports, particularly to Japan. The Council has also guided exporters to explore and develop more overseas markets. Taiwan's pineapples, known for their quality, are popular in Japan, and the Council plans to continue marketing activities and launch cut pineapple products to further increase consumer enjoyment.
