Tajikistan expects to harvest more than 1 million tons of potatoes

More than 790 thousand tons of potatoes have been harvested from farms and public farms in Tajikistan since the beginning of this year. This was reported by Asia-Plus according to information from the country's Ministry of Agriculture. According to the source, the potato yield per hectare was 240 centners. According to experts, potato production this year on farms and public farms alone should amount to more than 900 thousand tons. According to information from the Plant Production Department of the Ministry of Agriculture, potatoes were planted on more than 33.5 thousand hectares of land in Tajikistan this year. “If we add to this the production of potatoes grown by the population, then the production of these products will amount to more than 1 million tons,” the Ministry of Agriculture believes.
