In April 2021, Vietnam's tea exports saw a 10.5% increase in volume and a 6.6% increase in value compared to the same period in 2020, reaching 10,850 tons valued at $17.5 million. From January to April 2021, the total tea export volume increased by 1.2%, while the value rose by 6.7% year-over-year, amounting to 36,900 tons with a value of $58.85 million. The average export price per ton of tea decreased slightly in April but increased significantly in the first four months of 2021 compared to the previous year. The Pakistan market received the largest share of these exports, followed by China and India, which experienced significant growth in their tea imports due to increased demand and production challenges caused by the COVID-19 epidemic and drought in India.
