Tea exports from Vietnam in June 2023 declined by 21.1% in volume and 24.1% in value compared to June 2022. The average export price of tea also decreased by 3.8% during this period. Tea exports for the first half of 2023 showed a similar trend, with a decline of 15.7% in volume and 20.3% in value compared to the same period in 2022. The Pakistani market, the largest market for Vietnam's tea exports, saw a decline in demand due to economic difficulties and a decrease in imports. Taiwan also experienced a significant drop in tea imports from Vietnam due to global inflation and weak consumer demand. However, there was positive growth in tea exports to the Iraqi and Malaysian markets.
