【Exports】 According to statistics from China's customs, in August, China's tea exports amounted to 140 million U.S. dollars, a year-on-year increase of 1.7%; the export volume was 35.4 thousand tons, a year-on-year decrease of 1.4%. In the first eight months, China's cumulative tea exports totaled 980 million U.S. dollars, a year-on-year increase of 8.0%; the export volume was 268.9 thousand tons, a year-on-year increase of 13.9%. In terms of market, in the first eight months, the top ten countries/regions for China's tea exports were Morocco, Senegal, Malaysia, Ghana, Mauritania, the United States, Japan, Côte d'Ivoire, Uzbekistan, and Algeria, accounting for a combined 61.1% of China's tea exports. In the first eight months, Morocco was the most important market for China's tea exports, with an export value of 180 million U.S. dollars, a year-on-year increase of 23.3%.
