(Agraria.pe) The National Institute of Quality (Inacal), an entity attached to the Ministry of Production, approved the Peruvian Technical Standard NTP 011.010:2025 “Mango. Fresh Mango. Requirements”, which establishes the minimum quality requirements that this fruit must meet for its commercialization in fresh state, with the objective of strengthening its competitiveness and continuing to expand the country's exportable offer in international markets. This Peruvian Technical Standard applies to commercial varieties of mango obtained from the species Mangifera indica L., belonging to the Anacardiaceae family, and excludes mangoes intended for industrial processing. It also defines the minimum requirements that mangoes must meet in all their categories and varieties, specifying that, in all cases, they must be free of serious diseases or defects that affect or compromise their appearance for consumption or commercial value.
