Pig farms in the North have suffered heavy damage from storms and floods, leading to a shortage of pork supply and a sharp increase in the price of live pigs. The highest price recorded was 71,000-72,000 VND/kg. The supply shortage is due to the death of pigs or farmers selling them off due to flooded pigsties, with nearly 26,500 livestock dead mainly from flooding. As a result, the price of live pigs in the Northern region has seen a significant increase.
