From January to November 2021, Mexico saw a 15% increase in agri-food exports to the US, totaling 35,275 million dollars, with beer, tequila, and avocado being the top products exported. Beer exports increased by 17% in value and 13% in volume, reaching 4,479 million dollars. Tequila exports also saw a significant increase of 41% in value and 15% in volume, amounting to 3,350 million dollars. Avocado exports increased by 20% in value and 9% in volume, totaling 2,487 million dollars. Additionally, there was an increase in the value of fruit exports to the US by 17%, driven by increases in the value of exports of blueberry, lemon, and strawberry.
