Thailand is planning to boost its global influence through the food sector by transforming its culinary heritage into a soft power asset. This initiative, under the 'One Family One Soft Power' (OFOS) policy, aims to enhance the global profile of Thai food, create over 75,000 jobs, and contribute 3.5 billion baht to the economy by 2027. The project will be spearheaded by the Ministry of Industry and will focus on four main activities. The strategy includes collaboration with the private sector and civil society, and a comprehensive guideline for advancing soft power. The plan also includes improving food quality standards, driving research and development, and promoting Thai food exports.
