The 13th Vietnam International Cashew Conference 2024, held in Dong Hoi City, saw participation from over 40 countries. Organized by the Vietnam Cashew Association (VINACAS), the conference aimed to discuss the global cashew supply chain's current status and future, especially considering recent global events like the COVID-19 pandemic, the Russia-Ukraine and Israel-Hamas conflicts, and global inflation. Vietnam, a significant player in the cashew supply chain, imports nearly 65% of the world’s cashew raw materials and accounts for nearly 80% of the world’s cashew kernel exports. The conference also witnessed the signing of a cooperation memorandum between VINACAS and various international cashew associations.
