[Agricultural Fisheries and Livestock Insurance Newspaper = Reporter Moon-ye Lee] The Agricultural Policy Insurance and Financial Corporation (hereinafter referred to as APIFC) and the National Institute of Agricultural Science and Technology (hereinafter referred to as NIAST) have pledged to actively cooperate for the advancement of data-based agricultural disaster risk management. APIFC and NIAST signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) last 23rd at APIFC’s office in Yeouido, Seoul. This agreement aims to link and utilize APIFC’s accumulated policy insurance data and NIAST’s satellite observation and analysis capabilities and research achievements to contribute to the advancement of agricultural disaster risk management and the establishment of a data-based agricultural disaster safety net. The contents of the agreement include △ joint cooperation for agricultural disaster risk management using agricultural satellites △ data in the agricultural and agricultural policy fields.
