The Brazilian agribusiness sector hit a new record in employment in the second quarter of 2025, employing 28.2 million people, according to data from Cepea/CNA. According to a survey by the Center for Advanced Studies in Applied Economics (Cepea), from Esalq/USP, in partnership with the Confederation of Agriculture and Livestock of Brazil (CNA), the number of workers in Brazilian agribusiness grew by 0.9% in the second quarter of 2025 compared to the same period of the previous year — an increase of about 244 thousand people.
