Turkey saw a 4.4% increase in cow's milk collection in January compared to the previous year, reaching 873 thousand 974 tons, as per the Turkish Statistical Institute. Commercial dairy enterprises reported a 9.3% increase in drinking milk production, a 5.8% increase in yoghurt production, and a significant 17.2% increase in cow cheese production. However, butter production experienced a decrease of 17.3% in the same period. The institute mentioned that the production figures for some dairy products may be unreliable due to ongoing earthquake impact in the region.
