Deputy Prime Minister of Russia, Dmitry Patrushev, has announced plans to increase the total sown area in Russia by 1 million hectares by 2025, totaling around 84 million hectares. This includes 20 million hectares under winter crops, 93% of which are in normal condition despite last year's harsh weather. The remaining 55.8 million hectares will be dedicated to spring crops. The government is providing financial and non-financial support to agricultural producers, including new preferential loans worth over 40 billion rubles for 2025. Additionally, the government is investing in updating agricultural machinery through preferential leasing and recapitalizing Rosagroleasing to increase the supply of self-propelled machinery.
