Ukraine has seen a significant increase in the area dedicated to industrial hazelnut orchards, with the area now covering 5.5-6 thousand hectares, nearly tripling from the previous year. This growth surpasses that of industrial walnut orchards, which currently span 5 thousand hectares. The majority of these hazelnut orchards were planted under a state grant program, reflecting a shift towards more profitable and long-term agricultural pursuits amidst the declining profitability of grain crops due to the war.
