In May 2022, Vietnam's cashew exports reached 49.9 thousand tons, valued at $304.65 million, marking a decrease from May 2021 but an increase from April 2022. The average export price of cashew nuts hit a high since the start of the year, with a total export value of $1.21 billion in the first five months of 2022. The European Union imported approximately 50.4 thousand tons of cashew nuts in Q1 2022, valued at $341.81 million, marking an increase in value but a slight decrease in volume from the same period in 2021. The Netherlands and Poland have seen significant growth in cashew nut imports from Vietnam and other countries like India, Burkina Faso, and Nigeria. The EVFTA has had a positive impact on Vietnam's cashew exports to the European market, with notable growth in exports to the UK, Germany, and Italy.
