The average price of land for agricultural use in Spain stood at 10,248 euros per hectare in 2024, which represents an increase of 2.8% in current prices and 0.5% in constant prices compared to the previous year. This is according to the Survey on Prices of Cultivated Land, published on the website of the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food. The cumulative variation since 2020 is 13.8 percent. By autonomous communities, the Canary Islands remain the community with the highest price, 148,415 euros per hectare (€/ha), due to the high value of land for banana plantations, followed by the Region of Murcia (33,180 €/ha). On the opposite end, the lowest prices are located in dryland cereal areas of Castilla y León (5,115 €/ha) and Aragón (5,175 €/ha). As for types of crops, the largest increases in 2024 were recorded in dryland nuts (6.7%), although they start from a lower average price level (7,261 €/ha).
