In July 2024, the Bureau of National Statistics of Kazakhstan reported the average wheat prices, with durum wheat priced at 117,359 thousand tenge per ton and other wheat at 102,721 thousand tenge per ton. The highest wheat prices were in the Akmola region, while the lowest were in the Karaganda region. The average prices for barley were about 61.4 thousand tenge per ton, with the highest prices recorded in North Kazakhstan. Compared to the previous year, wheat prices remained relatively stable, with a 2-3% increase from June 2024 and a 17% increase from December 2020, but a 3.4% decrease from January-July 2024. Barley prices were 6.5% lower than July 2023, but had a 15% increase from December 2020 and a 7.5% decrease from January-July 2024.
