The Vietnam Trade Office in the UAE is warning Vietnamese exporters to be cautious when negotiating payment terms and to verify the credibility of their partners before signing contracts. This warning comes after several shipments of pepper, cinnamon, cashew, and star anise from Vietnamese exporters worth over half a million USD were suspected of being cheated in the United Arab Emirates. To mitigate these risks, exporters are advised to use consulting services and legal services, request inspections of goods, and consider purchasing insurance. Additionally, they should be aware of unusual signs such as using free email addresses, making fast-moving claims, avoiding face-to-face meetings, and ordering small quantities before suddenly ordering large quantities.
