According to Jeonnam Province on the 23rd, the certification achievement for low-carbon agricultural products in Jeonnam amounted to 5,664 hectares across 284 cases, representing 33.4% of the national certified area (18,935 hectares). This figure is 3.4 times the certified area from last year (1,660 hectares), with an estimated carbon emission reduction effect of approximately 15,397 tons, Jeonnam Province reported. By province, following Jeonnam, Jeonbuk recorded 4,560 hectares, Gyeongbuk 3,265 hectares, and Chungbuk 1,996 hectares. The low-carbon agricultural products certification system awards certification to agricultural and livestock products that apply agricultural technologies that reduce greenhouse gas emissions and minimize environmental impact.
