Spain: The Chestnut Board of Bierzo seals the creation of the European chestnut cluster

The Bierzo Chestnut Table is represented these days in the Austrian town of Leibnitz in the Austrian region of Styria during the celebration in this town of the XIII European Chestnut Meeting, an annual celebration event for the European chestnut sector, which was already organized in El Bierzo in 2014. This year's edition has had a fundamental objective, which has been to formalize the Eurocastanea association as a chestnut sector cluster in Europe. In this way, one of the objectives pursued by the sectoral representatives of the chestnut sector in Europe is achieved, in which the State Chestnut Network of Spain participates, a sectoral organization promoted by the Chestnut Table of Bierzo since 2012, and which is made up of sector organizations from Galicia, Extremadura and Andalusia.
