The Chilean market approved the opening of imports of salted pork casings

The thorough inspection by the Chilean agency gave the green light for the southern country to import this product from pork. “This decision was the result of an exhaustive sanitary inspection visit carried out in May of this year by the Chilean veterinary service to Colombian establishments,” said the ICA. In order to control exports to Chile, those who are interested and authorized to carry out the commercialization, must comply with some requirements agreed between the two countries. The first of these is the control of raw materials, also the verification and safety of the origin of the animals, the treatments applied for their care and production process and the characteristics of the final product.
