China is experimenting with a mixed strip planting model of multiple crops and soybeans to boost soybean production. The Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs is promoting this model, which involves the mixed planting of soybean and corn strips. Research is being conducted on selecting suitable varieties, seed inoculation with rhizobia, and agrochemical protection. Field experiments have shown promising results with high biological yields from several groups of soybean and corn varieties. The possibility of growing soybeans, corn, and potatoes together is also being explored.
