The Competition Protection and Monopolistic Practices Prevention Agency announced the decision of the Committee for Examining Economic Concentration Notification Files at the Agency to approve the notification file number (54) for the year 2025 submitted by Kerry Holdings International (Ireland) Limited regarding its acquisition of 90% of the shares of GSF Egypt LLC, which grants the acquiring entity the ability to individually control the target entity, which the Agency received in full on September 9, 2025.
Data from the Competition Protection and Monopolistic Practices Prevention Agency showed the proportional distribution of the sectors most involved in merger and acquisition requests received by the Competition Protection Agency during the period from July 2024 to December 2024.
The data from the Agency revealed that 3 sectors dominated the ranking with 11%, distributed among the transportation and storage sectors, then the construction sector, and the financial and insurance activities sector.
