The II Primaflor Greenlovers Observatory has conducted a study on the consumption of fruits and vegetables in Spain, focusing on the spring season. The findings reveal that lettuce is the most popular vegetable consumed during spring, with a 82% preference for buds and tender shoots over spinach. Consumers prioritize taste over price and prefer to consume vegetables raw. Lunch and dinner are the preferred times to eat vegetables, with 47% sharing the experience with family. The study also indicates that there has been a rise in the consumption of fresh-cut vegetables, particularly in ready-to-eat formats, due to the pandemic. The Caesar Salad and the range of Rolled York and Pollo are the favorite choices among consumers, with Gouda and Cheddar cheese being the most preferred ingredient.
