Given the situation with the moisture content of corn, the cost of drying, and marketing problems (logistics), the 2025 corn harvest, like in 2022, is expected to conclude in March. This is currently one of the worst years in terms of grain collection rates.

As noted, the Ministry of Economy has increased the forecast for corn acreage from 4,191 thousand hectares to 4,400 thousand hectares (essentially reflecting the USDA forecast made in September before the shutdown).
And the forecast of Barva Invest analysts remains at the level of 4,495 thousand hectares, however, according to experts, so far in practice the actual figure of acreage before corn collection is not so important.
Recall, as of the end of last week, almost 48 million tons of grain crops have been harvested in Ukraine, including 17.913 million tons of corn on an area of 2,719.8 thousand hectares, which is 62% of the sown area.
