The corruco fishing campaign on the Andalusian coast has seen great success, with a total catch of 1,093 tonnes and a commercial value of 1.04 million euros. The price per kilogram has also increased by 42% compared to previous campaigns, reaching 0.95 euros. The majority of the catches were sold in the La Atunara fish markets, with some also sold in Estepona and Caleta. The campaign, which ran from October to March, involved 76 vessels and generated around 600 direct and indirect jobs. The corruco is a bivalve mollusk that lives near the coast and is only consumed canned.
