The cost of producing raw milk continues to rise.

It is increasing due to the rising cost of energy resources, individual feed components, and other factors. In October, the index of the operating cost of milk production (RMCI) was 105.3%. Compared to September 2025, the indicator increased by 5.3%, and compared to October 2024, it increased by 6.6%, reports Milknews citing preliminary data from the analytical center "Soyuzmoloko". The increase in production costs is explained by several reasons. Firstly, diesel fuel increased in price by 12.5% in October, and electricity for agricultural producers by 0.2%. Secondly, the prices of individual feed components increased: according to Rosstat, soybean meal and meal increased by 5.7% with the stabilization of prices for compound feed for cattle (minus 0.7% compared to September, plus 0.6% compared to August) and a decrease in the price of feed wheat (minus 4%).
