The Argentine dairy industry concluded December with a 3.4% year-on-year increase in processed volume and a 3% increase in exports, but domestic sales fell by up to 13%. The industry processed 1,046 million liters in December, finishing the year with over 11,000 million liters. Exports, mainly to North Asia and Oceania, accumulated 355,800 tons from January to November, with a turnover of USD1,280 million. However, logistical issues caused by a lack of containers are concerning. Domestic sales saw a decrease due to a price freeze and falling purchasing power, with fluid milk, powdered milk, and refrigerated and non-refrigerated milk being the most affected.
