The Designation of Origin (DO) Ribera del Duero has declared its 2025 grape harvest closed after collecting 129,555,457 kilos of grapes, a figure that makes it the second largest harvest in its history. This campaign, which represents an increase of more than 35% compared to 2024 when almost 95.5 million kilos were reached, has only been surpassed by that of 2016, with 133 million, reported the Regulatory Council of the DO Ribera del Duero in a press release. It has highlighted that this season will be remembered for its "abundance, quality, and resilience," with more than 98% of the grapes harvested from the red varieties and, in general, presents excellent quality and health despite the climatological challenges that have been recorded throughout the cycle.
