Russia: The Donetsk People's Republic harvested 40.5% more potatoes and melons

The harvesting of potatoes and vegetable and melon crops has been completed in the Donetsk People's Republic; in total, more than 5.2 thousand tons of crops have been harvested, which is 40.5% higher than last year's figures. This was reported to TASS by the press service of the Ministry of Agricultural Policy and Food of the DPR. "Vegetables, the total amount for this year was 3,294 tons, last year - 2,817 tons. For melons, the total in 2023 was 1,034 tons, last year - 647 tons. Potatoes - about 908 tons, last year it was 231 tons" , - reported the press service. The agency's interlocutor clarified that the republic has currently completed harvesting potatoes and vegetable and melon crops from an area of 740 hectares.
