FERROL The educational program Capitán Mareas, promoted by the Galician food distribution company Vegalsa-Eroski, docked this Monday at the Ferrol fish market to promote the consumption of seafood and to make the local fishing activity known among the young people in the area. A total of 32 fourth-grade students from the CEIP Plurilingüe Virxe do Mar in Narón had the opportunity to learn about the work of the fishing fleet of the Cofradía de Pescadores de Ferrol from their fishery guard Luís Ángel Permuy López and their former percebeiro, Jesús Outes da Silva, "Meiro." After discovering how the product arrives from the sea to the supermarkets, the students delved into the importance of having a healthy diet and consuming seasonal products. In addition, the schoolchildren tried a recipe for scallop lollipop, learning the step-by-step process alongside the Galician chef from A Artesa da Moza Crecha.
