Moscow. August 7. INTERFAX.RU - In 2024, the European Union countries increased beer production by 0.2 billion liters (0.6%) to 32.7 billion liters, reported the EU statistical office. The production of beer with an alcohol content of less than 0.5% (non-alcoholic beer) also increased by 0.2 billion liters (11.1%) and reached 2 billion liters. Germany remains the main producer. It accounted for 22.2% of the total volume, or 7.2 billion liters of alcoholic beer. Next are Spain (4 billion liters, or 12.3%), Poland (3.4 billion liters, or 10.6%), the Netherlands (2.2 billion liters, or 6.8%), and Belgium (2.1 billion liters, or 6.3%).
